Mission Statement

We believe that Truth, Honesty, Sincerity, Integrity and Discipline form the foundation of education; that opportunities are endless, but the goal is one - striving for excellence.

It is my immense joy and pride to welcome you to the All Saints'Diocesan Hr.Sec. School website. I invite you to navigate through the pages to help you understand how our School tries to provide the best environment for the children of today and the global citizens of tomorrow. Right from its inception, the School has stood by the principles that it upholds. These very principles, mentioned in our Mission Statement, are hopefully imbibed by each child who passes through the portals of our institution. These values are sustainable and will successfully support a child in his or her formative ways. All Saints' Diocesan Hr. Sec. School, Shillong, remains one of the premier institutions of the region. May it continue to prepare every child for the wonders as well as the challenges of tomorrow. I wish the entire All Saints' School family God's abundant blessings now and in all the years ahead!

-The Rt. Rev. Michael Herenz, Bishop (DNEI)

Chairman, Managing Committee

In our journey of more than fifty years as a School, we have had great and multifarious experiences in being one of the renowned educational institutions in the region. Over the years we have been able to put in our best efforts to nurture and hone our students, many of whom are now in different parts of the country and the world, making a difference!

Education can be of two kinds – one that teaches us how to make a living and the other that teaches us how to live. Education, from the standpoint of our Christian faith, aims at the all-round development of our students with a clear view to forming responsible students and empowering a civilized society inspired by the Gospel’s values of Discipline, Love and Service. We ought to remember that values and virtues are not hereditary, they are learnt. School is one such place where oral values and virtues are taught and cultivated.

There have been many events and achievements that have moulded the life of our Institution, gearing it to meet the future with renewed vigour and a clearer vision. If you see a positive change in our School, then it is a change that comes with the realization that “every experience is an arch wherethrough gleams that untravelled world”.

We are 50 years ‘young’ – for our journey has just begun! This is no time to rest, this is no time to be complacent; for complacency is to “rust unburnished”.

Let us go forth ever determined, ever undeterred to meet the challenges of the future. Our School shall continue to send out students, like arrows, into the vast canvas of the society where they will always be proud of being the alumni of this Institution.

The motto of our School is ‘Strive and Prevail ’- May the world continue to see our students as sterling examples of what the School has imbibed in them. May God bless us as we serve Him in this Institution and as we take it to greater heights of achievements now and in the tomorrows to come.
